The Clan MacLachlan Association of
North America Inc. has been in existence as an
association
for over 35 years. The core of the Association was in North Carolina where
there have been MacLachlans for 250 years. It is still strong in the
Carolinas and the South East but over the years has developed a concentration
of strength in the mid Atlantic States and the New England States ; it now
sponsors numerous tents and social gatherings. In 1999, CMANA united with the
Clan MacLachlan Society in a federation of autonomous Branches throughout
the world..

This Branch
was founded in southern California in 1991 and today represents the Clan at
two-dozen Highland Games and Festivals, Robbie Burns’s dinners and other
Celtic events throughout the eight western states of Arizona, California,
Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Wyoming.
